There are certain lessons that I have learned that have eaten me alive. They have chewed me up into scraps of nothing, spit me out, only for me to crawl through the darkness, struggling to find a safe space among ravenous wolves.
There are certain lessons that I have learned which could not be taught by words or phrases, but sometimes your worst
nightmares have to come true to light the fire again.
Sometimes you can say “I Love You” to someone a million times and all they will hear is “I am sorry, I am too broken to be loved back.”
You can force feed kisses to someone who hates the taste of your lips, but finds refuge in drowning themselves in someone
who prefers to watch their suffering.
I have bled through tears and begged the universe or anyone for forgiveness just to be able to stand again.
There may always be something pushing you down, but don’t forget what happens every day.
Don’t forget that the sun and the moon
have their places.
Don’t forget that every star has a name.
That the birds never forget how to sing
That the trees grow their leaves back every Spring,
that Time can be a terrible thing,
that Time can be a wonderful thing.
